Jeremy Mercer graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with an emphasis in Real Estate. During college, he worked for his family’s steel company, Mercer Metals, which he later purchased and successfully sold in 2018. Jeremy began his career in commercial property management while also investing in residential real estate and distressed assets. In 2010, he transitioned into commercial brokerage, where he completed more than $300 million in transaction volume across over 9 million square feet. While he continues to represent select clients, his primary focus shifted toward building Matador Realty Investments, which he officially launched in 2021. Jeremy oversees acquisitions, operations, and the strategic direction of the firm across all three company vertices: Value Add Industrial, Structured Finance, and M&A Advisory. Jeremy also hosts his podcast “The Industrialist” along with being a cohost of a second podcast “Retail ReCap”.
