M&A Advisory

Matador launched its M&A advisory practice to support owners and operators evaluating the sale of their businesses.

OUR APPROACH

Built by Owners. Focused on Legacy.

Matador launched its M&A advisory practice to support owners and operators evaluating the sale or transition of their businesses. Through our industrial real estate investment platform, we work directly with business owners across food and beverage, agriculture, manufacturing, fabrication, logistics, and industrial services. Many of these owners operate from real estate they also own or control, creating a unique opportunity to evaluate both the operating company and the underlying property as part of a transaction. Rather than running high-volume processes focused on speed and transaction count, Matador takes a thoughtful, disciplined approach centered on preparation, buyer alignment, and transaction structures designed to create the right outcome for both sides.

We work with owners to:

Selling a business is often the most significant financial transaction an owner will ever undertake. The advisor guiding that process matters.

Our Advantages

Why Matador?

Operator Perspective

Matador is led by individuals who have owned, scaled, and sold businesses themselves. We understand how companies operate day to day, not just how transactions are structured. This perspective helps us think through the practical realities behind a sale and what actually matters.

Sector Expertise

Matador focuses on sectors where founder-led businesses are common, including food and beverage, agriculture, manufacturing, fabrication, logistics, and industrial services. This focus helps us identify buyers who understand the business, the industry, and its true value.

Real Estate + OpCo Insight

Many owners operate their businesses from facilities they also own. Because Matador invests in industrial real estate, we understand how to evaluate transactions involving both the operating company and the underlying property. We help owners think through how each asset can be structured to create the best outcome.

Disciplined Process

Matador does not run high-volume transaction processes. We focus on preparing businesses properly, identifying the right buyers, and structuring transactions thoughtfully. For founders who have spent decades building a company, the right outcome matters more than the fastest outcome.
